About Ag@School

WAIC publishes a student activity magazine, Ag@School,  targeted for fourth grade students. Three issues are produced each school year with class sets mailed to subscribing classrooms in Fall, Winter, and Spring, focusing on the overview of agriculture in Washington, technology, and stewardship in agriculture. The Ag@School magazines and Teachers Guides, are provided free of charge, upon request, to Washington Teachers in any quantity needed. Ag@School  is designed to help teachers develop agricultural literacy without adding to an already heavy teaching load. All lessons and activities are geared to meet Washington's Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs), Grade Level Equivalents (GLEs) and Core Curriculum requirements. Class sets come with a teacher's guide that includes background, discussion starters, vocabulary definitions, answers, and post-test activities.
